I don’t like using the word genius when it comes to fashion; it seems both trite and undeserving. Shallow, even. But\u00a0CR Fashion Book<\/em><\/a>? Genius<\/em>. And beautiful. I love a good magazine over coffee once whenever the subscription rolls in, but it’s not often I’m completely entranced or blown away. Blame it on a state of overwhelm or case of college jadedness: it all seems so contrived sometimes, especially when there’s greater things on hand. Or it’s just dull\u2014a been-there-done-that\u00a0<\/em>sort of ordeal\u2014that has my flipping just to get to the end.\u00a0(This is all in the full disclosure of honesty; it’s not the first time I’ve gone\u00a0back and forth on fashion<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

CR Fashion Book\u00a0<\/em>re-inspired.\u00a0This<\/em> is why I love fashion magazines so much: beautiful work and thoughtful essays, bound in a beautiful compilation. There’s the same amount of advertisers\u2014it’s just the way the cookie crumbles\u2014but there’s a great level of taste and care give to every part of production.* The website<\/a>\u00a0is incredible as well; it’s quite a chic counterpart (as Emily Weiss of Into the Gloss<\/a> <\/em>had said about her own website)\u00a0<\/em>to the print. I could get lost in the pages on-line and on paper forever…<\/p>\n
