It’s nearly 12 p.m. and I have yet to move from my bed. I’ve been in this vegetative state, but I’m not to be blamed\u2014this<\/a><\/em>\u00a0book is.<\/p>\n

I debated staying in bed for another half and hour to finish the last chapters, but given that (a) I haven’t yet had my\u00a0obligatory morning dose of caffeine, and (b) a girl simply cannot live so barbarically for more than a few hours without feeling like a cavewoman, I needed to drag my derriere out from tangled sheets. This is 2012, my friends, and while I’m not high-maintenance, I’m not a real person until I’ve at least properly washed and moisturized my face. The lucky ones who’ve been given the honor of seeing me in such a pre-human state either love me, or love me. Bless their hearts.<\/p>\n

Because Starbucks<\/a>\u00a0is a-calling\u2014it seems a good enough reason to make myself vaguely civilized for a quick run. I’ll even muss my hair so this real<\/em> bedhead seems like the model-off-duty<\/a>\u00a0faux<\/em> bedhead. My favorite baristas are especially nice to me, so it only makes sense I return the favor by putting in a little more effort: heck, I’ll even pinken my cheeks a bit. Did you just think I hinted at a quick tumble in the sack for that glow? Don’t get your panties in a twist, ladies\u2014I’m not that<\/em> salacious, and even if I was, I never kiss and tell<\/strong>. But you were on the right track.<\/p>\n

No orgasm<\/a>s <\/em>involved, per se, but a\u00a0healthy dose of sin<\/a><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0still comes in to play.<\/p>\n

For a while I’ve been eyeing “Sin,” waffling only because I’m not too dedicated<\/em><\/del> adventurous when it comes to my makeup, and also because I’ve been using “Madly<\/a>”\u00a0religiously for four years now. It wasn’t until\u00a0I pestered\u00a0Nicole<\/a>\u00a0(in a nutshell: she’s basically my boss\/beautyguru\/person-I-want-to-be-when-I-grow-up) for recommendations\u2014and “Sin”\u00a0was one of her top blushes\u2014when I caved. You listen when the beauty girl speaks, ya hear?<\/p>\n

In any case, “Sin”\u00a0is a pretty berry that reads like a mauved rose on my complexion. It does the whole bronze\/color\/sculpt\/glow she-bang, kind of working as an all-in-one whether I’m pale or bronzed up. A quick sweep and blending action on the cheekbones and I’m out the door for that soy toffeenut latte.<\/p>\n

Do take a moment to admire how pretty it is.<\/p>\n

What I love most about it is that it’s natural. My one boy\u00a0friend<\/em> (do note the space and italics) who repeatedly insists he likes my face better sans<\/em> makeup, couldn’t help but compliment this new flush. I believe the phrase “looks like somebody had a good time…” was said followed by a wink. Not that approval is everything, but if you’re out to buy a blush called “Sin” …<\/p>\n

I’m just the girl who observes and tells.<\/p>\n
