I can&#8217;t believe summer&#8217;s nearly over&#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p6xDPX-1Yu\" target=\"_blank\">and\u00a0I&#8217;ve only been to the beach <\/a><em><a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p6xDPX-1Yu\" target=\"_blank\">twice<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Actually,\u00a0I can&#8217;t believe we&#8217;re more than\u00a0half of the way through 2015. Where has time gone? More importantly: <em>what have I done with it?<\/em> I had grand plans and high expectations, but it feels as if I just trudged my way through the months (especially through this\u00a0year&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p6xDPX-1Yu\" target=\"_blank\">polar vortex<\/a>)\u2014and let myself fall into the monotony of complacency. There were so many places I wanted to go to, events to attend, things to do, books to read, skills to learn. What have I\u00a0<em>actually\u00a0<\/em>accomplished? Am I a better version of myself than I was in 2014?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I hesitate to answer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But the lull ends now.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p6xDPX-25y\" target=\"_blank\">This past week has been a whirlwind of new things and opportunities<\/a>, which was exactly what I&#8217;ve been craving.\u00a0<em>Bring it on.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. I want to get rid of everything in my closet except my\u00a0bodysuits, pencil skirts, and high-waisted jeans. I want easy, I want simple, I want streamlined, I want sexy; it&#8217;s the vibe I&#8217;m trying to go for (if you look good, you feel good\u2014right?) I&#8217;m feeling a wardrobe re-haul comin&#8217; up soon, I&#8217;m just not sure where to begin&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I&#8217;ll keep you posted if anything interesting comes out of it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3. You know you&#8217;re a real adult when finding the perfect set of Tupperware gets you excited. It&#8217;s the little things.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">4. <a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p6xDPX-26s\" target=\"_blank\">I had my first solo business trip earlier this week<\/a>. I&#8217;ll be honest: I was apprehensive\u00a0for a few reasons, two\u00a0of which were traveling (safely) alone and making a connecting flight with less than 40 minutes to spare. Traveling was always done under the safety of my parents&#8217; wings, with a group of (reliable) friends, or with a significant other; I have no qualms in admitting that I was\u2014and still am\u2014pretty sheltered and definitely lucky to have such protective people in my life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I&#8217;m happy to report everything was smooth sailing, and that I loved the solitude and baby adventure as much as I thought I would. More traveling, please.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">5. My dad finally upgraded to the iPhone 6 and my mother has\u00a0grasped the concept of emojis. Texting the &#8216;rentals have been real&#8217; exciting lately.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">. \u00a0 . \u00a0 .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">xx<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
