Beauty & Brains, as the Cliché Goes

30 June 2009 • Kimberly • Leave a Comment

Herein begins my summer job volunteering at a local courthouse. To what department – criminal, civil, the likes – I will be assigned into, I know not yet of, but what I do know is how excited I am to take advantage of such opportunity to make good use of the myriad of black pencil skirts I own. And to gain experience, of course. That is first and foremost. I am not as shallow or materialistic as I make myself sound.

Today marks the orientation; pen and notebook in hand ready to take any notes. First impressions are quite important; thus, a classic, no-fail look. Wearing: a black, high waisted pencil skirt with a white blouse tucked in. Patent peep toe pumps, a strand of pearls, and a simple ring to finish. All worn with Michelle Obama in mind, as my inspiration and idol.

U.S. Vogue // March 2009 // Michelle Obama

bisous,

La C.

P.S.: For those of you who are ever graciously awaiting for the completion/replies to your what to wear requests, I can only ask you to wait a bit longer. I do answer them on a first-come-first-serve basis, and each post takes quite a while (here I hardly exaggerate) to complete! I do have twenty [20] lined up! Love, love,  l o v e  you all!
