Yuri Kochiyama speaks at an anti-war demonstration in New York City's Central Park circa 1968. Kochiyama, who straddled black revolutionary politics and Asian-American empowerment movements during four decades of activism that had brought her to Malcolm X's side moments after he was shot by assassins, has died in Berkeley. She was 93.
