The list continues. (This set is inspired by The Man Repeller.)
THINGS I’M GRATEFUL FOR
- Space, solitude; an introvert’s dream to recharge and reboot
- Time and clarity for introspection—for gratitude, reflection, evaluation, and planning
- My family and friends—for their health, love, and understanding of my need for space even in an age of social distancing
- Time spent with my best friends via Zoom, which has been uplifting
- Witnessing acts of unity and kindness that counter the devastation
- Homemade meals (mostly made by culinary-inclined family members or loved ones), although my latest exploration in perfecting vegan vodka sauce sans vodka have been quite promising
- Books, the ultimate escape and resource for groundedness
- Stability
- Perspective
THINGS I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO
- New York City, when it opens up once more
- Dates with my boyfriend
- Actual facetime spent with my girlfriends
- Maintaining my reading habit—perhaps not once a day, but at least once a week
- Dancing again, because I haven’t since rehearsals and classes were postponed due to COVID-19
- More dresses—just in time for summer
- Summer, sun (even if it’s spent on the deck)
- Whatever comes next
. . .
xx
