Embellished Ear

I’ve always been fascinated by ear piercings. They’re easy, they’re pretty, and they’re fun—making them the ultimate accessory and finishing touch. I find that even when I’m dressed down to the max (we’re talking leggings and sweats, people), a pair of super-thin sterling hoops instantly edges things up. Or, when I’m sans makeup and my hair is pulled up, earrings make me feel just womanly enough where I’m less likely to be mistaken for a little boy.

For the longest time I avoided getting more than just one hole in each ear; I’m the product of pretty traditional parents and the corporate world, so I’m easily wary of anything that doesn’t fall within the “norm.”

Long story short, I bit the bullet. I’ve wanted at three or four more holes for a few years now, and with this current itch for change coupled with the imminent #quarterlifecrisis, this happened yesterday and I couldn’t be happier:
