Fabulosity in a Week’s Worth

21 October 2008 • Kimberly • Leave a Comment

Hello, darlings!

It’s been rather cold lately, especially on Friday night, standing on the sidelines awaiting for the captains’ cue to dance at the football game, skirt and all. A cup of chocolat chaud  with bits of crushed peppermint did solve the cold spell, and proceeded to warm me. I’m actually sipping some of this right now; it’s quite delightful. Speaking of hot chocolate: lately on my must-have shopping list is Chanel’s new nail lacquer: Haute Chocolat. It was seen on Chanel runways, a creamy and brilliant chocolate brown, a bit metallic-y – oh so fabulous! I am a huge fan of Chanel’s nail polish: it’s beautiful, from the bottle to the actual application. Yes, it does cost more than the average nail polish, but it is defintitely worth the splurge.

It’s been a busy week for me, I must admit, so I do apologize for the lack of posts. A bit stressful, yet little surprises here and there do make up for the stress and make it quite fabulous. I had ordered The Fashion Book, in it’s mini-edition on amazon ($9.99 only!) and received it in only 4 days! It is such an adorable book – its pint sized, with beautiful graphics, wonderful descriptions, and is truly a must-have for the fashion obsessed. I have yet to read it, but I do highly recommend it!

Along with this fabulous book, my copy of ELLE came! Once again, I am very much impressed with the cover: Elle seems to have embraced a new look for its magazine for subscribers. With only one headline, and a photograph that brings back the old glamour of vogue magazines.

And last but not least. A surprise awaited for me at my front door, its package in a fabulous Louboutin red and green. Of course I proceeded to open it with care – it was so beautifully packaged! In it was the most beautiful shoe I have ever laid my eyes upon – ever. I do not exaggerate at all! Courtesy of the lovely Danielle of solestruck.com, possibly the best online shoe boutique carrying the most beautiful of shoes (I drool over every pair…darn the economy), these Enzo Angiolini Legs, in black patent were mine. It is an understatement to say that these are my new babies; I cannot even begin to describe why I’m in love. Perhaps its because of the silver buckle and black patent straps, or the ombre, 4/5″ heel; maybe the platform; all I can say that it is the sexiest shoe and so incredibly comfortable. I need an occasion to wear them! I had an outfit all planned out, but the 30-40 degree weather is not cooperating with me at all.

xoxo,

La C.

I was searching for a chocolate brown nail colour for about 2 months, finally found one from Revlon and haven’t stopped wearing it since [just redid my nails tonight for the next week] and now Chanel is all up on my futuristic colour predictions. I guess it’s going to be time to hop on the next colour once everyones wait-listing for Chanel 😉
