Five Things (4.15.22)

1. Sweet, thoughtful gestures—like these birthday tulips from my dear friend, Dom. They’re in the corner of my living room that catches the first glimpse of morning light; what a joy to wake up to this week.

2. This shade of purple.

3. A new indulgent ritual to punctuate the end of long workdays: sipping Kin Euphorics Dream Light (mixed with oat milk and a generous dash of cinnamon) while writing, just before bed. Adaptogens affect everyone differently—so do start with small, measured sips—but for me, sleep has come more easily with this addition.

4. My new (baby) olive tree! She’s currently waiting to be de-potted and rehomed into this black textured planter; I just need to run to The Sill during lunch today to (finally) pick up some lava rocks and potting mix.

5. The jacaranda trees are in bloom again. My heart is happy.
