How to Help Minnesota

26 January 2026 • Kimberly • Leave a Comment

vintage 1984 george orwell paperback book + you have not yet been defeated

Time is of the essence, and there is only time for action:

  • This is the best, most extensive guide on how to help Minnesota. Mpls.St.Paul editor Justine Jones put together a list of mutual aid funds and organizations, food drives, and restaurants and businesses to support.
  • Know. Your. Rights.
  • Stay informed.
  • Amplify ways to help. Stand With Minnesota makes information easily accessible; @mplsmutualaid compiled a shortlist for even more bite-sized at a glance.
  • As a legal observer, stand your ground with this list of what ICE agents can and cannot do.
  • It’s difficult to trust, much less rely on, federal resources—but if you know someone who has been detained, there is an Online Detainee Locator System. (Not lost on me is its inability to document the children and teens under 18 who have been detained.)
  • Donate to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota; they’re providing legal support to detainees.
  • Unidos MN is a non-profit, Latine-led organization that can also use our help for on-the-ground action.
  • The Immigrant Rapid Response Fund is focused on providing urgent assistance to the community, from providing basic needs to support for legal services.
  • Read the stories of Minnesotans. Watch the videos on your feed, then share. This is not the time to detach.
