i think about you in the summertime…

Life’s a bit overwhelming at the moment, thus the sporadic publishing of haphazard posts.

But overwhelming in the best way possible.

Everything happens for a reason; what may seem like the worst thing in the world – at the time – is a blessing in disguise. It’s admittedly cliché, yet undeniably true. When one door opens, others open wide. All you have to do is close your eyes, take a breath, and look. Open your mind, and the opportunities elsewhere are near boundlessness.

… and off I step from my makeshift soapbox.

I’m looking forward to this summer; it’s the first summer of actual freedom, of change, and of new inspirations. All I want to wear are high waisted denim short-shorts, both cuffed and cut-off, with cropped tops, lace bodysuits, and floral corsets, worn with windblown beach hair and ice-cream colored nail varnish. It’s a bit Daisy Duke and seventies, but kind of fabulous in the most un-fabulous way. Effortlessly sexy and languid.

Like how summer should be.

♥

bisous,

La C.

This style is quite perfect, it’s exactly the way I’m dressing up right now (only with a few layers more because of the weather ahah !)

With a derriere as prominent as mine, I would be arrested if I were to don a pair of these shorts! The first picture is particularly evocative – it sums youth and playfulness.
