I’ve been waiting with bated breath to share this story on ISAMAYA, the namesake line by makeup artist and creative director Isamaya Ffrench. Read it here if you’re curious; I was incredibly lucky to have her contribute to the piece.

Full reviews of what I found to be the best from each drop so far are on Editorialist, but if you only have five minutes and a limited budget, these are the two I’ve already repurchased or gifted—both of which are makeup-skincare hybrids.

  • SKINLACQ Triple Hyaluronic Glow Serum, which is just magical—a few pearlescent drops will give skin an immediate boost of luminosity and hydrated plumpness. The finish is just stunning in all scenarios, including natural, direct lighting.
  • LIPLACQ Maximizing Lip Serum is superb. If you’re on TikTok, you know this blackened gloss has been co-signed by Julia Fox; there’s no denying that it’s the ultimate cool-girl, bleached brows, Gabbriette-aesthetic product. My skin tone is a little too golden to pull off the shade on its own, but as a pre-makeup lip treatment or topper over a warmer neutral or red lip, it’s gorgeous. LIPLACQ is essential for that super-smooth, plumped-up look.
