It’s Showtime

18 March 2009 • Kimberly • Leave a Comment

Hello, darlings!

Tonight (Thursday, Mar. 19th) is the opening night of the show! I’m ridiculously excited, yet incredibly exhausted at the same time. For those of you who haven’t heard of/know of the play, Guys and Dolls was a Broadway turned movie that debuted in the 1950s. I’m a bit too tired to give a synopsis (at least one’s that comprehensive); Wikipedia does a much better job. It’s nothing grand or anything; just a fun little stint!

And to answer a few questions: By no means am I a lead! Singing is not my forte; I’m a Hot Box Girl (a.k.a. night club dancer) in addition to a few extra roles here or there. It truly is such a fun role; I do get to embrace my ditzy/flirty/sexy side to it’s fullest extent! As for the scenes I’m in, as some of you requested, I’m in a 10 sec. acting scene in the beginning of the play; Bushel and a Peck; Guys & Dolls, Havanna, Take Back Your Mink, and Happy Ending.

Oh, and one last thing: I do apologize for not replying to comments/visiting your lovely blogs. I am rather time crunched, so I shall get to it as soon as I can!

Bisous,

La C.

OMGosh, so you are in the musical! How incredibly exciting! That’d be a dream come true for me, as I love singing, but am not a great performer (stage fright). How I wish I could watch the production you’re in 😉 I’m sure you’ll be fantasticly gorgeous

Darling, that is so exciting! I’m sure the show will be absolutely amazing. I saw the high school production in my town of Guys and Dolls and it was actually really good!
That is so fun – you’ll be great, dear!
