Julia Restoin-Roitfeld’s Home: Part I

15 May 2009 • Kimberly • 48 Comments

Julia Roitfeld; The Selby 5

You all knew it was inevitable that these photographs would swarm the lovely land of the blogs.

And I think you were beginning to think I was either (1) living in a cave (2) have gone insane since I have not yet posted them.

But I assure you, as a Julia Restoin-Roitfeld as my muse and inspiration, I have done neither.

Nearly every one of The Selby‘s photos are in my inspiration folder.

Julia Roitfeld; The Selby 1

I can be found, on occasion, walking around the house in a little dress and these shoes.

I love her home; white with polished wood floors.

Clean lines, completely modern. Orderly too.

If only I had such high a stack of  P a r i s i a n  Vogues to boast.

Julia Roitfeld; The Selby 14

A wooden chair, an air of  v i n t a g e .

Some cow-print or paint-splattered carpet.

Oh, and that Louis Vuitton scarf lying their  n o n c h a l a n t l y .

Julia Roitfeld; The Selby 7

If I was Tom Ford‘s muse …

Julia Roitfeld; The Selby 29

And only Miss Roitfeld would have the ability to make every girl think Coco Cola Zero is couture.

The bottle is quite nice. ‘Tis a pity I prefer my coffee over coke.

Julia Roitfeld; The Selby 8

A bit reminiscent of Prada lace.

An eye mask makes such normal task of sleeping  f a b u l o u s .

Bisous,

La C.

The main reason I want that chair? It reminds me ever so much of the ones that resided in schools back in the Victorian era. Oh, to have such a piece sitting in my humble abode would make for the best gift ever! 🙂

Julia is one of the people I am mostttt jealous of! But it’s a good jealously where I look at her and am just like “Is there anythingggg not completely fabulous about you?!”
From her clothes, to now seeing her fabulous home, she can just do no wrong 🙂
Thanks for sharing these – I can see why they’re in your inspiration folder!

So lovely. I wish they had taken some shots of her wardrobe – if her show racks are anything to go by, her wardrobe would be fabulous to look at. I love these behind-the-scenes sort of articles, and I love TheSelby, such gorgeous photography. Thanks for this post, I must add TheSelby to my list of blogs to visit 🙂
