I’m briefly interrupting my #KPinGreece16 flow on social to recognize—and remember—this incredible moment in time.
Three years ago I never would have thought that I’d be directing and training my own group of dancers, and yet here I am (in the most incredible leggings, ever, by the way), documenting this milestone with a good ol’ selfie. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude to the people who believed in me and to the beautiful women who auditioned for the first season of Desirée’s (of Daniel y Desirée fame) New Jersey Ladies World Team Project. Me? The official instructor and director of a team run by one of my favorite latin dancers of all time?
I can’t believe people came at all. I can’t believe I got through it. I can’t believe my partner waited outside to celebrate this huge first with a dozen roses and a large iced coffee with almond milk, which I desperately needed (and sipped eagerly). When did I get so lucky? How did I get here?
Like, I just #canteven. Words will come more easily when I beat the post-Greece jet lag, promise. But until then, let a gushing girl live.
