Lead, Learn + Love

11 November 2010 • Kimberly • Leave a Comment

“Some women choose to follow men, and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you’re wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up in the morning and tell you that it doesn’t love you anymore.”

Just remember. Cliché as it may be to say, it’s necessary to re-instill the thought in your head every so often. I’ve seen so many women—of all ages, young to the mature—who have always held such strong convictions about their independence and the future they wanted, and suddenly drop everything for someone they love.

It’s a bit sad to watch their individuality fade in the process; a man (or woman), is not worth letting go of everything you’ve worked so hard for. Yes, love calls for sacrifices, but unconditional compassion is not synonymous to losing your self. Your being.

Never forsake your potential in pursuit of love. Be the woman who leads, learns, and loves. Multi-tasking, mes chéries, is entirely possible.
