NOTD No. 1

26 November 2009 • Kimberly • Leave a Comment

{A little f.y.i.: NOTD means “Nails of the Day”, a tidbit I’ve adopted from beauty bloggers/vloggers.}

I often OTT (over-the-top) when it comes to the holidays – decorating, dressing up, makeup – all that jazz. My parents find it a bit unnecessary (as do some friends of mine) but let’s face it mes nonpareils: why not embrace the beauty of these special days (as deemed by whomever heads the committee of creating and maintaining national holidays)? Indulge a bit, surround yourself, literally, with an extra-something.

So today’s NOTD (a.k.a. the most un-aesthetically pleasing acroynm) is, obviously, Thanksgiving-themed. Done to match my Thanksgiving inspired makeup (smokey copper-brown, mauve-brown lipstick that is quite beautiful, and a shimmery gold gloss).

Sephora by OPI “Under My Trenchcoat”

Sally Hansen (name unknown: reddish chocolate brown)

Brownie points for being festive!

♥

bisous, xx

    I am no nail polish connoisseur, but I just acquired to shades of purple. One a sparkly, midnight color, and one a positive shade of plum. I’m excited to try…

    Bonjour ma belle!!

    So I have a few things to say – feel like we’re in need of a catch up! 🙂

    1. The fact that you’re posting less makes me read even more each post. But I found myself having to catch up- in delight- with your other blogs & tumbl’r 🙂

    2. Loving your blog for POP especially, so witty & real.. refreshing! How did that happen btw? I feel like I missed something! Congratulations anyway, I loooooove POP 🙂 Our Fashion Committee at Uni here have been discussing it recently at one of our Magazine Clubs.

    3. I feel supportive of your busy schedule as I am myself in the middle of a 100 and so page- thesis on fashion.. and it’s due in 10 days now.. aaaargggh! 😉 And I cannot really do ‘okay’ since I am sending it to the people I interviewed: directors from Louis Vuitton & Cartier in Paris.. gloups..

    4. And finally, good luck for college applications, I know what it is, and Gossip Girls alike know what it is 😉 Do your best, a great future awaits you!

    5. Vive La Couturier 🙂 Huge love & kisses from London! xoxo

    Pretty nails ! I’ve been trying to experiment with different colours because all I settle for is black. Slash, this is my first time here but I love what you’ve done with your blog! If it’s okay I’d love to link your blog. Maybe even a link exchange perhaps? : ) I’ll definitely be stopping by more often
