Just One of Those Days…

19 November 2008 • Kimberly • Leave a Comment

I must admit; this quiz was a bit of a tricky one. The leather gold clutch (I am in love with it), no doubt, looks almost exactly like Bottega VenetaBut I do congratulate Rachel of Fashion is Tension (the girls of that blog are sooo lovely, check out this super sweet post they dedicated to me!) for catching a minute change in a detail: the clasp! Bottega Veneta clutches always have a beautiful knotted clasp – but this little number here, however, had a gem-studded one. So the answer? It’s simply a look for less, from Monsoon. Congrats to Demi of Fashionably Early!!

So when I was supposed to be studiously finishing homework or studying, I was, well, a bit sidetracked. I had written a post a while ago about Looks for Less from lulu.com. I came across these lovely Jeffrey Campbell Cage Heels. Since they’re such a statement shoe, gold straps and all, they should be the focal point of an outfit, aka, keeping the outfit simple! Perhaps such an ensemble would have been better suited for the earlier fall season, as it is undeniably inching closer to winter, and your feet would suffer a bit from the cold. Nonetheless, here it is. Perfect for one of those days, where all you feel like wearing is a tee-shirt & jeans. Such style is quite different, if not completely deviant from my usual look, but I was much inspired by the blasé, a bit rock-ish look – I am longing to give it a try! I love it when looks are simple; when you can throw a bunch of pieces together and still look effortlessly chic.

p.s.: Lately I’ve been in the mood for a bit of Starbucks-esque/Michael Buble/Pop music. My good friend just introduced me to this new artist, Sean Fournier. His album? Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for – download his album for free on his site, here!
