Recipe for a Perfect Weekend

This weekend. Sweaty two-hour rehearsal in a huge, empty studio. Assisting another two hours in a class where everyone’s simply greedy to learn, and eager to try. Quick change and haphazard makeup to go from class to Latin night. Double-shot iced coffees. Greek yogurt parfaits, juicy peaches, long drives speckled with good conversation and RadioLab podcasts. Two-hour rehearsal in a gorgeous Philly dance studio with one of the most incredible and world-champion salsa dancers. A night at Brasil’s for salsa. Running on a few hours of sleep, then back to Philadelphia for more salsa dancing under 100-degree sun at Penn’s landing. You may or may not catch a glimpse of hair whipping and feet twirling in a few Philly publications.
