Same Suit, Different Day

It’s the same even when I’m in L.A. I like what I like—padded shoulders, fitted waist, oversized everywhere else—and a suit fits the bill.

In fact, this has quickly become a uniform I can’t stop reaching for (especially when I’m living out of a carry-on for most of the month): the 30-something’s equivalent of a matching sweatshirt-sweatpants combo. It’s good with heels and even better with sneakers. Just as comfortable as any fleece-lined set, only nowhere near as suffocatingly hot after you’ve walked from Midtown to FiDi. Pairs well with anything… and nothing at all beneath.

(Once you’re past a certain decade, comfort is king.)
