An inspiring shoot by Dee for Yetti & Furby‘s vintage range, Something Chronic.

Absolutely amazing – a gorgeous model with stunning hair and makeup (I do have an obsession with black winged liner). Love the clothing, particularly the sheer black blouse and the metallic blazer. Currently obsessing over nineties fashion, all due to my continuous re-watching of my all time favourite movie,  C l u e l e s s .

bisous,

La C.

    I don’t mean to be a debbie downer, but in my honest opinion, the photoshoot is surprisingly sub-par in comparison to your usual taste. I can’t believe you find it “absolutely amazing”. It looks like tasteless, random snapshots that could appear on any random girl’s myspace, styled and shot in a conspicuously low-budget way. The model’s face remains unmoved throughout the entire shoot, and her hair and wardrobe is equally lifeless. I really hope you, the blogger who would devote entire posts to Christian Louboutin shoes, Natalia Vodianova spreads, and everything classy and classic, aren’t suddenly favoring awful (awful!) mom-jeans denim and sheer shirts with booty shorts and hooker heels. I don’t mean to sound harsh…it’s just that your normal taste is impeccable and I hope to see more of that and less of…this?

      Miss Random Reader: I really do appreciate how polite you were in commenting your opinion – I do appreciate differences in opinion, because that is what makes the world go round! I (obviously) don’t find them completely tasteless – but somehow I am drawn to how real they are. Real as in any person could have styled it, could have modeled for it, etc.

      And a few points: I would never wear these looks, I just admire them from afar for the very reason that it differs so much from my own style.
      -Those mommy jeans: NEVER! Haha (: I would never, in my entire life, love them, or care to wear them. High waisted denim trousers? Yes. This? No (:
      – Sheer shirts: I actually do love sheer tops; tanks, blouses, classic button-ups. With something under, of course.
      – Those heels: I actually do like them, haha (:

      I simply have these phases – where I’ve suddenly fallen in love with a certain look, or style – and then excitedly wish to share it with everyone! But shall these things ever infiltrate my wardrobe? I’d say that would be next to impossible (;

      I am extremely flattered that you do find my [usual] taste “impeccable”. (:

      Lots of love, darling random reader!

    I love that makeup! It’s very non cracked out Amy Winehouse.
    And all those outfits are gorgeous!
    I was just watching Clueless the other day (I made my boyfriend watch with me – he had never seen it!), and was loving all the fashion 🙂

    Siamese obsessions: winged liner and the film Clueless. I don’t wear liner on my top lid, only the lower, but I so very much want winged liner – it’s so vintage lovely. And who can possibly resist Cher? Gorgeous pictures, darling! 🙂

    I always love how you can address “dissenters” (no offense to Random Reader at all!) so eloquently.

    This is definitely different from what you usually love or post about, but I think this is the reason why so many people love you/your blog. You’re open minded with fashion, and aren’t afraid of trying other things, regardless of how out-of-character it may seem. I love that!

    I love her hat in the first photo and the jacket in the sixth photo. They look very clean and raw, no sugar coating. (I do, however, love sugar-ey photoshoots though…). Thanks for posting them.
