Sportswear Can Be Chic & Sexy

20 March 2009 • Kimberly • Leave a Comment

A bit different from what I usually post…

I have been living in leotards, tights, booty shorts (dance shorts, darlings), and character shoes for this past month, particularly over the course of this week. It is my favorite, though basic, dance attire. A uniform, almost, much like my infallible skinny jeans-black boots – black top ensembles.

I do have a penchant for dancewear; there really is no better time to look sexy! I do take advantage of the moment to wear little halters and cutesy shorts, I must admit. So there really is no surprise that I fell for this Adidas/Jeremy Scott collaboration. The product? A sexy little corset, a bit athletic, a part romantic, altogether quite chic (and a bit risque). Regardless, I do love it so, save its price tag. (Adidas/Jeremy Scott Corset, Colette.fr). A zipper adds a touch of edginess, modernizing the traditional corset, the classic three stripes, the mark of a true Adidas piece, retains the athletic look, and the tie in the back adds an element of coquettish sexiness. Perfection? I think so.

Time to get ready for show #2.

xoxo,

La C.

P.S.: More dancewear. Inspired, actually. For the ballerina at heart.

That is very, very cool. I’ll always have a place in my heart for the ballerina look: wrap sweaters, tights, legwarmers, leotards. le sigh.

I hope the show is going well!

I know what you mean about the allure of dancewear. I was always in awe of the way dancers in the 40’s and 50’s looked. I think you should show skin while you can, go for it.

It’s a cute top, but I wouldn’t wear it to workout in. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I like to wear baggy tops when I’m exercising. The idea being to not draw attention to myself when I’m sweating.

That corset top is awesome, but the only dance class I could wear it in would be the random hip hop classes I take for fun. Ballet and modern classes not so much.

I’ve been absent from the blog world for a bit so even though I’m late just wanted to say merde, break a leg/ good luck on your show. I love Guys and Dolls!

I think it could look very good on some people, but I wouldn’t wear it. (I guess it’s because I’m used to hiphop dancing clothes).

That is just sooo cool… it reminds me back in the begging of the 90’s when in Brazil that was an Adidas craze… all shops non Adidas had 3 striped items , cute bodysuits and trousers and so on. So for me this is a revival…
