Add a Little Bit of Ginseng

I couldn’t help but share a few snippets from a rather indulgent afternoon spent with Korean skincare line Sulwhasoo. A picture is worth a thousand words but even so, none could truly capture those hours of pure relaxation last week. I suppose the closest thing is to add a little ginseng to your daily ritual—emphasis on ritual over regimen—even if it simply begins with pressing a layer of their First Care Activating Serum into your skin after cleansing, before face cream.

Although Sulwhasoo isn’t new to me—I’ve been using their lip mask and cushion compacts long before K-beauty embedded itself into the American beauty vernacular—this particular collection is a fairly recent addition to my current line-up. I’m still testing my gifted samples (rather gingerly, because my skin has been fickle as late), but the First Care Activating Serum stands out of all the ginseng-fueled products used thus far. It’s so water-light that except for that immediate burst of freshness, the formula is barely perceptible the moment it kisses your skin. Immediately your skin will drink it in—and within moments, you won’t even be able to feel a trace.

The only proof of its existence is this newfound softness left behind. Less dry lines, smoother skin to the touch, and a barely-there hint of energizing ginseng lingering in its wake.
