Things I Love Thursday

5 February 2009 • Kimberly • Leave a Comment

things-i-love-7

  • Nail Polish. Not that I don’t love it already (you can say that I am quite obsessed with the stuff!). But lately, when I should have been doing more useful things, say, studying for exams, I had been browsing various blogs dedicated exclusively to nail lacquer. And in doing so, I have compiled a list of nail polish that I must get my hands on, a.s.a.p.
  • My planner. Simply because I am an organizational freak, and do love so to have everything written and planned out. Though I hardly ever follow through. It’s just nice to know that I have some control of my future.
  • Snow! The massive amount of snowfall on Tuesday made me ridiculously happy; looking outside through a window made it seem like we were observing one (rather) large snow globe. I don’t believe it’s snowed that much here for the past two years or so. As cliché as it is to say, it did indeed look like a winter wonderland, one right out of childhood storybooks.
  • Dujour. Updated articles, finally! Do check it out; read about a new label, Rebel DNCE, Shoshanna, & other such articles about fashion, shopping, & celebrity style here. Rate it, comment, do whatever you like; feedback is important! (Please be nice to me, darlings ;)! ).
  • Scarves. I think I had worn a scarf at least two or three times a week for the past two weeks. It’s been a growing obsession, since my original collection welcomed a rather large amount of new scarves (all from Christmas!). From wool, to cashmere, silk to satin, plain to embellished, I do believe they are my winter wardrobe staple. They truly are the most practical and fashionable accessory that can make any ensemble, regardless of what you wear (perhaps that was an exaggeration), sophisticated.
  • Watching movies on my iPod. I must be an insomniac, at least for the time being, since I have not yet been able to fall asleep until the ungodly hours of the early morning this past week (and yet I am able to manage waking up in the morning three hours later.) To pass that otherwise boring time of staring blankly at my ceiling fan, I watch various movies that I otherwise would not have time to watch.
  • Valentine’s Day is almost here! No, I have not found myself a valentine, but I do just love that holiday. Passing out sweet little valentines and candy hearts to friends is quite enjoyable.

xoxo,

La C.

    i love this post.
probably cause i can identify with a lot of it…hehe. i make lists like a maniac, stay up way too late, etc.
and man i am kind of missing snow. oh, not that we don’t have it around here…we do, but it’s been sitting around for too long getting all dirty and nasty and hard. i want some FRESH stuff!! i mean, as long as it’s gonna be cold and wintry, we might as well have snow right?
okay anyway, thanks for another great post.
    🙂

I wore a deep purple scarf today with my black and red dress. It made me feel good. And a little more feminine somehow! 🙂 Your advice really is quite remarkable, La C!

And every time you mention nail polish, I immediately look to the right of your page and scroll down to look for the chanel nuit de russie one. SO SO GORGEOUS. *claws at screen to get at it*

I can’t seem to find it! Or is it not out in stores yet? Or is it limited edition? I need to get my hands on it, and it on my nails!

I love nailpolish too, I feel naked when I´m wearing any 😛
And it´s snowing here too, but I´m sort of sick of it… We´ve had snow for a couple of months now and I can´t wait for spring to come!
    Where do you live?

Luck may be shining my way, I think I´m gonna get my hands on the shoes I wanted 🙂

up in Colorado, where even though it got really cold there was always snow! Hmmm, maybe I should buy faux snow….

Are you kidding me? Nail polish is MUCH more important than exams, and don’t forget that for a second 😉 You’ll have to share some of the ‘must have’ polished on your list, as I’m afraid I’m hopelessly addicted to my Essie pale, neutral pink, and could use someone to get me to push my comfort zone a little!

And yes yes yes to movies on the iPod! Sometimes it’s the only thing that gets me through my cardio time at the gym, especially when i’m in between issues of ‘us magazine’!
