… and potentially in my cart.

repetto gentiane moon boots

Repetto Gentiane Boots, $405

I’ve loved many a Repetto since I was a little girl but these! These are the consummate combination of the early aughts après-ski pièce de résistance and the warmup booties older ballerinas (newly en pointe) would wear before barre. I found them (the latter) so cool, so grown! (I also grew up in Jersey—bona fide stomping ground of UGGs—and so naturally, find the hoof silhouette darling). For $400 though? They’re a little less cute, but I do need a pair of winter shoes for when I’m back on the East Coast later this month. As much as I wish I was a ribbon-loving, flats-wearing Sandy Liang acolyte, I’m not: these boots are my idea of girlhood and true balletcore.

ferragamo red wool sweater turtleneck curved sleeves

Ferragamo Wool & Cashmere-Blend Sweater, $1990

I need another balloon-sleeved sweater like a fish needs a bicycle, but between the gauge, shape, and drop sleeve, how could I resist? Even the specificity of the red is impeccable; every detail is considered (though one would expect nothing less from the house of Ferragamo. Or a $2000 knit). The story behind this particular silhouette and shade—inspired by the flag of Trinidad and Tobago—is worth noting, too: with Maximilian Davis at the helm of the Italian label, he’s done marvels in reviving Ferragamo’s prevalence.

gemella bubble bezel diamond necklace

Gemella Bubble Bezel Diamond ‘K’ Necklace, $3980

Jersey roots are impossible to suppress the older I get. It’s nostalgia, I imagine, that creates a fervent desire for these little trinkets that remind me of childhood things I loved—like personalized pendants and bubble letters doodled in repetition across brown-bag-wrapped textbooks and Staples notebook covers.

the row margaux brown suede bag

The Row Suede Margaux 17 in Mocha, $4490

Something else I don’t need, but can’t stop thinking about—especially since I already have one in black leather. What’s preposterous is that I’m even giving this chocolate suede number real thought because I avoid precious materials (like satins and suede) like the plague… and yet! I can’t explain why I suddenly want to abandon one of my most practical, fundamental rules but then again, how could I not when this oversized tote is so scrumptious?
