THROUGH HER EYES

Vogue China, November 2020

model: Liu Wen    •    ph: 王子千 Ziqian Wang •    stylist: 姚雨杭 Yuhang Yao

makeup: Valentina Li   •    hair: Yanzi

Looking back (a bit) for inspiration before moving forward into summer. Perhaps it’s the persistent grey in a usually sunny L.A., but on the mind (and currently in the mood for) are:

  • Smoky, smudged eyes embracing the monolid and the wò cán (臥蠶 in Chinese, aegyo sal in Korean)
  • Sleek hair, shiny cheekbones
  • Silhouette play—simple but striking
  • Silver accessories still (ear cuffs, chains, hoops)

Saving the Réalisation Par dresses for another summer. Or a vacation, somewhere not so overcast.
