Turn Around, Dahling

Blake Lively Cavalli Dress

Blake Lively Cavalli Dress 2

Blake Lively Cavalli Dress Back

Breathtakingly   s t u n n i n g .

I must say that I am fairly impressed with Miss Lively. The Cavalli dress was an unbelievable choice, the styling absolutely impeccable. Wavy, signature blonde locks, smokey eyes, a pinky-nude lip accessorized with a touch of jewelry and platform sandals. Exactly how I would have worn it (should I ever own the to-die-for dress), save the blonde locks. Do substitute the dark brown hair, darlings.

And might I add that I am head-over-heels in love with this dress. In a sea of cutout and/or mesh dresses, this Cavalli number is truly the classiest of them all. The front implements quite the sophisticated, if not conservative cut: three-quarter length sleeves and a just-above-the-knee length are my favorites (and most flattering on yours truly). The black mesh inserts at the waist in triangular cutouts are most sensual in the best way possible, accentuating the wearer’s hourglass figure and adding a touch of modernity with edginess.

Then turn around, dahling. First the profile makes for a lovely peek at skin. Then the entire back is revealed. This, my loves, is my dream freakum dress. Indisputably sophisticated, utterly sexy.

(Roberto, darling, do send one my way.)

bisous,

La C.

mm agreed! I’m totally digging the sheer cut outs, lately. I await the day that I can wear something like that and the day I can get my hands on it!

Gorgeous look! I love white dresses – they’re always oh-so-chic and make even those who are quite pale appear at least slightly tan!

obvi i agree.i posted this look a few days ago. i really believe miss lively’s been picking great stuff lately. i love the pink micheal kors she wore to the cfda’s too.

as for my ysl ring, that’s what made me buy it. i saw that net-a-porter only had a few sizes, i freaked and made the impulse buy. i didn’t want to wait, it sellout and then i pine over it forever like the tie dye suede miu miu bag and the fringed mulberry i’m always searching for on ebay. you could always try a department store.

cindy: I do too! As of late her red carpet looks have been amazing! And I totally missed when Net-a-porter restocked it! I’m still on the hunt for it – I refuse to give up!

Agreed. The world would be a better place if you (oh and me too) owned this dress. Absolutely beautiful. I recently cut up one of my black dresses in an attempt to recreate a similar cutout. Doesn’t even come close. Damn you Blake! 🙂

Great choices, BUT I must admit that when I first saw the pictures I was mostly impressed by the shoes! They’re very feminine but at the same time rock and a little edgy! Perfection!

The dress is nice and fits her (I remeber her look at MET Gala, totally wrong). Maybe I would have opted for a different shoe.
