I hope you had a beautiful Christmas with loved ones!

This one was especially memorable because I was finally able to give back to my parents in a way that they deserve; giving them their gift was a moment of immense pride and utter gratitude. And while it certainly isn’t enough to thank them for the past 23 years, it’s a step.

But enough about me and my feelings. Let’s talk gifts! (There’s no shame in loving material things; there’s a reason why hauls are a thing.)

This Christmas was about as me as it gets:

• A stack of books, dominated by Elena Ferrante;
• Deliciously Ella, a raw/vegan cookbook  authored by the inspirational creator behind ‘Deliciously Ella‘;
• Diptyque ‘Eau Duelle’ Eau de Parfum, which is everything I’ve been looking in a bottle of perfume; and
• Louis Vuitton small-ring monogram agenda, with which to organize my life for 2016.

Not listed are the presents I decided to gift myself that are currently en route to me as we speak. Nothing says self-love like a bit of self-indulgence, amiright?
