You Think You Know Me, But You Have No Idea

[title: lyrics of ‘Bout It’, from Step Up]

.   .   .

I’ve been tagged by the lovely Brigadeiro to complete these fun little questions!

harpers-bazaar-lindsay-3

A bit similar to my outfit maintenant. I daresay that it is inarguable that Miss Lohan looks incredible in this editorial.

What are you wearing now?

Black blazer with satin trims over a fitted, white tank. Worn with a pair of medium wash skinnies and patent peep-toe pumps. Black, of course.

What’s the last thing you read/are currently reading?

The current issue of Elle magazine (US) whilst ogling at Kate Hudson’s outfits from the issue beforehand. I do wish to start reading a book, but, once again, a lack of time prevents me from doing so! Oh! I am currently in the midst of re-reading Pride & Prejudice. It’s sitting on my nightstand, along with the four other books I’ve started but never finished. Including President Obama’s first narrative. And some philosophical book that’s quite fantastic.

Do you nap a lot? / Who was the last person you hugged?

Time is of the essence! Nope! / My best friend.

What’s your current obsession/addiction?

Singular? Quite impossible to choose one. Blogging, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, window shopping online, sweaters, black boots, cocktail rings, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, green tea.

Which item from you closet are you wearing most lately?

I tend not to repeat my clothing within a month’s time. But I think my jeans get the most wear! They are a wardrobe staple for me!

What’s for dinner?  The most delicious salad ever made, and mash potatoes & gravy. The salad consists of: fresh baby spinach, yellow pepper, orange pepper, red pepper, stripped rotisserie chicken, sliced boil eggs, and ranch dressing. It’s quite the colorful salad; aesthetically pleasing too!

What was the last thing you bought?

A gorgeous crocheted top, black, with butterfly sleeves. It’s quite easy to see that I have a penchant for these type of tops (keep reading and you shall see!). It’s heavily knitted, but the holes make it the perfect spring/fall top. Gorgeous, really. And only $48!

harpers-bazaar-lindsay-2

Love, love, love. Period.

What are you listening to right now?

“Jai Ho” from the soundtrack of Slumdog Millionaire. A truly brilliant piece, mind you, with the most incredible beats. Any choreography to this particular song would be, to say the least, sick.

If you could have any super power, what would it be?

To be able to read people’s mind. Saves the hassle of dealing with boys who cannot make up their minds, or can’t seem to communicate properly. ;] I just like to know how others think, really – it’s quite fascinating!

What is your favorite weather, and why?
If you said season I would have had quite the hard time. But my favorite weather? Around late August to October/November, when fall starts to kick in. It’s still warm enough to wear shorts or tights and look sane, yet cold enough to wear darling little sweaters.

What time do you usually get up?

Oh, around 7:15 a.m. or so.

What is your most challenging goal right now?

Keeping myself from stressing out!

Say something to the person who tagged you:  If you should ever tire of your closet, don’t hesitate to send the unwanted garments my way! In fact, I’ll give you my address… ;]

If you could have a house–totally paid for, fully furnished–anywhere in the world, where would you want it to be?

New York City or Paris. Then my life would be complete.

I love how the Chanel jacket is understated with a pair of beat-up jeans.

I love how the Chanel jacket is understated with a pair of beat-up jeans.

Favorite vacation spot?

Anywhere in Europe!

What is your favorite item of clothing?

Only one? This is ridiculously hard. At the moment, it is a (surprise surprise) black, butterfly/batwing top with a deep v-neck. I love everything about it; the lightweight knit allows versatility in any season; it’s cut allows it to be dressed up or down; and it can be worn off the shoulders or on, depending on how sexy I feel like being ;].

Favorite pair of shoes you keep going back to over & over, even though your closet is overflowing with a zillion others?  My trusty black boots; with a stacked heel of, oh, say three inches. The most comfortable pair of shoes I own, really. I wear them with nearly everything! And how I wish my closet was overflowing with shoes…

Name one thing you cannot live without:

My laptop. My not-so-little baby, a.k.a. my life! Without it I cannot type away when I have an idea or revelation, blog about my little heart’s desires, seek inspiration, ogle at items I will never be able to afford, talk with friends, and perhaps research for actual, constructive purposes. It also happens to have my entire iTunes library (and as you all know by now, music is my obsession/passion/love); it acts as my speakers, so I can dance around whilst typing away fervently.

What time is bed time?

Usually around 12 p.m. However, I don’t fall asleep until the ungodly hours of the morning. Insomniac, you can say. But I prefer nocturnal. I do love the night life.

If you could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning, where would it be?

In New York City, in my own apartment or flat of some sort, in the arms of James Franco. Oh I kid about the last part. But it would quite lovely…

.   .   .

Still curious? Read the FAQ if you’d like!

xoxo,

La C.

I subscribe to the US mag, and mine only arrived a few days ago (with Jessica Alba on the cover), am in love with the jacket she has on 😉

I always love reading these little questionaires about you; it’s like a bit more of the mysterious LC revealed each time!!

You always make the answers so fun. Usually people can be so boring, but each was entertaining & witty!

Just a suggestions: maybe open up a little “forum” for people to ask random questions like those Q&A posts other bloggers do?

HI CAN I HAVE AN ORDER OF THAT ABSOLUTELY MOUTH-WATERING SALAD PLEASE? I love baby spinach. And I’m terribly hungry at work right now and the description of the salad has completely ignited my tastebuds.

Also, I love bat-wing tops! Yours sounds so lovely! Alas, I don’t own one, because I can’t seem to find any good quality ones with good stitching and with sleeves that fall nice and gently, like real butterfly wings in the wind! May I find my perfect bat-wing top soon. Preferably sheer in gray or black, with subtle translucent cherry blossoms painted on…*drifts*

I want my own apartment too. And being in the arms of James Franco, well, surely that can’t be a bad thing. :p

    Love love love,

Honey, I couldn’t help noticing that you are thinking in minutes (7:15,12:00), instead of larger time frames (early morning, late evening). This might be contributing to your stress, just a thought.
Here’s a “novel” idea: try putting a few books on the toilet tank. Some good ones to try are Frederick Fekkai’s Daily Planner, The Bombshell’s Guide to Life, Make-overs at the Beauty Counter of Happiness, and Giving it Up/My Year of Learning to Live With Less. Oh, and I almost forgot This n That by Bette Davis.
I must be in the mood for giving advice today, I hope you don’t mind. xo

And by the way, you are so great at answering all of these random questions! It really is quite a difficult art to master.. Most people tend to drag on, or write boring answers, but everything in this post and your Q&A was very interesting. Plus fun to read!
