1. @TheMindyProject (yes, the Mindy Kaling’s TV show) now follows me on Twitter. I know it’s not her directly following me, but it feels like it; the show is basically an extension of Mindy, right? Anyway. I’ll happily take what I can get. (I totally feel a sense of affirmation and relevance right now, by the way.)
2. In an attempt to better organize my life—the goal is to increase productivity and clear head space—I’ve decided to try my hand at bullet journaling. Kind of. Okay, what I’m doing is not like bullet journaling at all, but I am using the #BuJo community’s favorite notebook, the Leuchtturm1917 dotted A5 notebook (mine’s in anthracite; getting wild over here) to catalog daily to-do lists, thoughts, and the occasional journal entry here and there. Bougie stationery is my shit, and yes, I’ve worked my three-notebooks-a-year spending into my budget.
3. Three years ago (on Sept. 19) was my first performance with my partner, Kevin. #startedfromthebottom
4. I’m three rehearsals into my all-girl’s group (if you’ve been following along this journey of mine, you’ll know that directing and teaching are completely new for me) and it’s amazing so far. When your team takes the time to tell you that they’re the lucky ones, that you have a “gift,” and that you inspire them in and out of the studio, there are no words to describe that feeling. None.
5. My weekday makeup routine consists of three steps only: curling my lashes, applying mascara, and swiping Glossier’s Haloscope in “Topaz” across my cheekbones. That’s all.
