Questions & Answers: Part I

10 April 2009 • Kimberly • Leave a Comment

A combination of tags and readers’ questions. (tag from ediot & sharon-rose!)

lace-1

What are you wearing today?

White button down with a black lace bra peeking through. A pair of skinnies, and black peep toe pumps.

Why is today special?

It’s the first day of spring break, and the weather is gorgeous. I spent the majority of the day outside on my deck, re-reading Pride & Prejudice and some of  Sense & Sensibility

What is your current obsession?

Blogging (of course), thefashionspot, Swank Heights, It’s Her Factory, French movies, MAC lipsticks, YSL tributes (the sandals in particular), anything chocolate, straw fedoras, window shopping online, dark smokey eyes & bronzed skin.

What are your weirdest obsessions?

Yellow nail lacquers, chocolate spread on white bread.

What would you like to learn to do?

Speak & read French adequately. Breakdancing could potentially be a cool thing to be able to do. Random, I know. But I did make a disclaimer in the early days (when I had well, zero readers) that dance is almost my life.

What’s for dinner today?

Shrimp scampi! Delicious. I can smell it cooking in the kitchen!

What’s the last thing you bought?

A pair of patterned tights and a MAC lipstick. I’m quite excited; they are to come soon in the mail!

lace-23

What are you listening to right now?

“Make it Work” by Ne-Yo. Old, yes, but somehow it popped into my head today (songs tend to do that). I’m completely obsessed with the dance to this song on So You Think You Can Dance a few seasons back with Dom & Sabrina. A-mah-zing. I’m learning it.

What is your favorite weather?

In the 70s, sunny, with a slight breeze. Not too hot, but cool enough to avoid any heat flashes that are completely un-fabulous.

What is on your bedside table?

My Hello Kitty alarm clock I have had since I was, oh, six or seven and still works like a charm. A stack of the current April magazines along with my favorite issue of Vogue Paris (March 2008, I had bought it in Paris!). My Korcula ring in it’s lovely box. A silver candelabra as decor. And a little trinket box I had made with assorted items in it. And a lotion.

What is your most challenging goal right now?

Attempting to curb the temptation of eating Godiva chocolates, stressing out, and procrastinating. My weaknesses.

Where would you like to live, ideally?

If financially tangible, I would love to have an apartment or flat in New York City and one in Paris. Oh, the life!

What would you like to have in your hands right now?

The winning lottery ticket. For many reasons, not just selfish/greedy ones! I promise you I do not constantly pour over materialistic items. Okay. Maybe most of the time. It’s only human nature.

lace-3

What would you like to get rid of?

My procrastination habits!

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?

PARIS. Maintenant!

What language(s) do you want to learn?

French!

Who would you like to meet?

There’s too many to list! The Obama family, SEAH!ui (my blogtwin), Carine Roitfeld, the French Voguettes, Frida Giannini, Alber Elbaz, Michael Kors, James Franco,

One thing you could just steal from someone without regret?

I shall not steal, but attain that designer [insert item here] with my own moolah. I shall be quite accomplished and feel much more proud of it! On second thought, I am quite tempted to snatch anything from Miranda Kerr’s closet.

What is your dream job?

Editor/fashion director or editor of a fashion magazine. Like ELLE, my absolute favorite magazine. Being a stylist would be amazing too.

Bisous,

La C.

i love that dance. me and my friend taught it to ourselves and we performed it at recital, and it was pretty epic if i might say so myself. to bad we weren’t allowed to record it :(:(

its a lot of fun to do! good luck with learning it, it took us a lot of rehearsals lol. about a month for us to nail it and make it look somewhat perfect because i’m kinda slow when it comes to learning choreography lol. 🙂

I am very impressed with your “not steal” answer; even hypothetically, I can’t go there either.

    Happy Easter. xo

I know what you mean about wanting to speak French adequately. I’ve been to both Quebec & Paris and even though I know some French (what I can remember from grades 2 to 11) I still feel too foolish to try my french out on anyone that knows how to speak it properly. Je parle un petite peu francais.

PS. I added your blog to my links. I could’ve sworn I had done that before, but somehow I missed actually doing it.

Oh Chocolate spread on the bread is not really a weird obsession! Have you tried to eat baguette with a bar of dark chocolate inside it? you must try, it’s out of the world.

When I was in high school (you were not even born yet) I had “Hello Kitty” on everything too, interesting that it is still popular after all of this year. FYI, it was the 80’s when I was in high school…LOL

I love anything French as well.

This post was really fun to read, thanks for sharing and,
I wish you luck with your dream job dear!

Love the Q&A, and the photographs! I also would like to learn French, I think it is one of the most beautiful languages, although languages in general and all quite lovely to me, I am a lover of words. And breakdancing also sounds fun! I like hip-hop and breakdancing a lot, although I’m afraid I’m quite rubbish at it…though maybe better than I am at ballet, now that’s really painful to watch. haha.

ps2: a shame Cutesygirl doesn’t ship to France or UK.. oh well.. I’ll just have to save until I get the Tribute platforms, the Valli, or some Louboutin, I work in front of the Louboutin boutique in London, too much temptation! 😉 x

You are quite fabulous at answering random questions! This post was very fun to read. I have a procrastination habit as well.. In fact I am procrastinating right now.

Also, I have a question for you.. Since you love to dance, and were recently in a show, what is your favorite musical?

    Have a Happy Easter & a great weekend 🙂
